In addition to improving physical health, exercise also helps the brain. There are numerous studies that show that physical activities (walking, dancing, swimming, etc.) delay many diseases associated with age and favor the formation of new neurons in the hippocampus.

YOPITA (YOGA, PILATES, TAICHÍ)

Practicing this combination of exercises strengthens the muscular system, increases flexibility, helps better posture (decreases back pain). Therefore, blood flows more rapidly in our body to places where it would not arrive if we did not practice this type of exercise getting our arteries to heal. It is an excellent connection between mind and body.

YOGA FOR CHILDREN (MINDFULNES)

I designed this class when I was collaborating with BOYS & GIRLS CLUB - Dundee Township due to the high level of stress that children and adolescents have. The very positive results were expressed by the participants themselves and corroborated by the comments from teachers, administrative staff and parents.

MINDFULNESS (FULL ATTENTION)

There are several definitions of mindfulness. "Paying attention in a particular way: with purpose, in the present moment, and without judgment" is the most accurate for me, because it includes all three aspects of mindfulness: intention, attention and attitude.

I apply this principle during classes because children, teenagers and adults are currently experiencing stress at unprecedented levels. Increased stress can lead to anger, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and behavioral disorders. All this negatively influences both school and work and social performance.
